Gift designated to Athletic Director Excellence Fund and North End Zone Project

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Athletics has received a $1 million donation, director of athletics Jeramiah Dickey announced today. The gift has been designated to the Athletic Director Excellence Fund and North End Zone Project. The donor has asked to remain anonymous.

"On behalf of our 350+ student-athletes, coaches and staff, thank you for your generous gift and believing in EPIC," said Dickey. "It will take all of us to ensure we attract and retain student-athletes that Bleed Blue. I am so proud to be a Bronco."

The gift will directly support the holistic student-athlete experience through the Athletic Director Excellence Fund as well as continue the active campaign towards the North End Zone Project at Albertsons Stadium.

This is the eighth $1 million gift that Bronco Athletics has received since the public launch of Unbridled: The Campaign for Boise State University. Since the launch of the Lyle Smith Society (LSS) in 2020, the department has received 19 gifts of $1 million or more from a total of 12 different individuals or families. To date, the LSS has raised more than $30 million for Boise State Athletics.

"This most recent gift propels us forward toward both the Unbridled campaign goal and an exciting future for Bronco Athletics," said Argia Beristain, Interim Chief Executive Officer for the Boise State University Foundation. "To receive a gift like this right now, between the North End Zone groundbreaking this month and Bronco Giving Day next month, is a great example of the ongoing generosity of our community."

The major gift continues to show Boise State's momentum, which has been inspired by the on-the-field success. The football and women's soccer programs both won conference championships this past fall while Bronco Nation has supported all sports, highlighted by seven sellouts during the football season, 21 straight sellouts at soccer, more than 1,000 people per match at volleyball, and men's basketball season tickets sold out for the first time in program history.

The North End Zone Project, which broke ground on Jan. 4, will take the student-athlete and fan experience to new heights. In addition to creating a 360-degree concourse, the North End Zone will add approximately 1,600 seats to Albertsons Stadium and feature 12 field level suites, 44 loge boxes, 148 ledge seats, 800+ club seats with all-inclusive food and non-alcoholic beverage amenities. It will also serve all 18 Boise State programs and 350+ student-athletes with the Simplot Nutrition Lounge.
