BOISE, Idaho – Boise State head football coach Spencer Danielson and his wife, Raechel, have joined the Lyle Smith Society (LSS) as the 300th members. The LSS is a philanthropic giving option launched by the Bronco Athletic Association in December 2020.

"We are deeply grateful to Spencer and Raechel for their investment in Bronco Athletics," said Boise State Athletic Director Jeramiah Dickey. "Their commitment will help us equip Bronco student-athletes with the tools, experiences, and support they need to succeed not only in competition, but in their careers, communities, and lives long after college."

"We fully believe in this place and what we're here to do at Boise State, and that's to help build champions on and off the field," said Spencer Danielson. "Raechel and I are grateful to have the opportunity to be Lyle Smith Society members and invest in the experience for current and future Bronco student-athletes. The best is yet to come for Boise State, and our family is glad to lock arms with the rest of Bronco Nation in making that happen."

Named after the longtime Boise State coach and athletic director, the society's goal is to increase philanthropic revenues for Boise State Athletics, supporting operational needs and capital priorities. Funds from the society position Bronco student-athletes for greater success in the classroom, in competition, and in life after graduation.

"Supporting student-athletes and Athletics is a key pillar of Unbridled: The Campaign for Boise State," said Argia Beristain, CEO of the Boise State University Foundation. "We sincerely appreciate Spencer and Raechel for their extraordinary generosity and vision. Their leadership in Athletics and throughout the campaign has been truly inspiring, and it's only fitting that they are the ones helping us reach this important milestone."

The LSS membership begins with a minimum pledge of $50,000 over a five-year period or donating an annual cash gift of $50,000 or more. Boise State Athletics establishes its top priorities, but Lyle Smith Society members have the flexibility to designate their gift to the fund of their choice. These funds include the Bronco Nation Fund, Women's Sports Fund, Sports Enhancement Funds, Endowment, capital projects, BroncoLife and Sports Performance, Health, and Wellness. Since 2020, LSS members have contributed over $75M to Boise State Athletics.
