BOISE, Idaho — Boise State Valorant dropped its first Power Esports Conference match of the season Friday night, falling 2–1 to Ohio State in a tightly contested series at the Boise State Esports Arena. The loss moved the Broncos to 6–1 in PEC play as they head into the final week of the fall schedule.

The Broncos fielded a six-player rotation of Marshall Hainer (Daimyo), Wyatt Morrison (Master), Griffin Applegate (Skelesis), Kosmos Sutter (Kos), Austin Julian (Prestige), and Peter Mittelbrun (Skies), using the full roster throughout the match.

Game 1 — Bind:
Boise State opened strong on its map pick, jumping out to an 8–4 halftime lead behind coordinated site holds and efficient utility usage. Ohio State responded immediately out of the break, winning both the pistol and bonus rounds to tie the score 8–8. The Buckeyes carried that momentum through the final stretch, taking the map 13–11.

Game 2 — Corrode:
On Ohio State's map pick, Boise State answered with its most consistent performance of the series. The Broncos maintained the lead from the opening rounds and never trailed, closing out a 13–8 win behind standout moments from every member of the lineup.

Game 3 — Sunset:
With their undefeated record on the line, Boise State unveiled a new composition, changing three agents from their usual setup. The teams entered halftime tied 6–6 before Ohio State pulled ahead on defense. Skies delivered back-to-back four-kill rounds to force overtime, but the Buckeyes held on in the final two rounds to claim a 14–12 victory and the series.
