NFL Broncos: Week 17

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State will be represented by 10 former players in the penultimate week of the NFL regular season, with Bronco products in action on three days. Jeremy McNichols and John Bates kick things off with the Washington Commanders, playing in an 11 a.m. game on Christmas. JL Skinner and the Denver Broncos will also play on Christmas, meeting the Kansas City Chiefs at 6:15 p.m. Scott Matlock and the Los Angeles Chargers host the Houston Texans on Saturday, followed by the rest of the Broncos playing Sunday. THURSDAY
Washington Commanders (John Bates, Jeremy McNichols) vs. Dallas Cowboys – Netflix, 11 a.m.

Jeremy McNichols scored on a two-point conversion run while tallying 12 scrimmage yards in Washington's 29-18 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The running back has 396 yards from scrimmage this season, matching his single-season career-high from 2021. John Bates totaled 39 snaps in the game, his 80th career contest.

Denver Broncos (JL Skinner) at Kansas City Chiefs – Prime Video, 6:15 p.m.
JL Skinner had a tackle on punt coverage in Denver's 34-20 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. He has a career-best 11 tackles this season, including seven solo. His Pro Football Focus special teams grade of 77.1 ranks 19th among NFL players with at least 275 special teams snaps. The Broncos remain in control of the AFC West race, leading the division at 12-3.

SATURDAY
Los Angeles Chargers (Scott Matlock) vs. Houston Texans – NFL Network, 2:30 p.m.

Scott Matlock played 41 total snaps in the Chargers' 34-17 win over the Dallas Cowboys, which clinched a playoff spot for Los Angeles. Matlock paved the way for an offense that gained a season-high 452 yards. The Chargers are 11-4, sitting one game behind the Denver Broncos for the top spot in the AFC West.

SUNDAY
Jacksonville Jaguars (Ezra Cleveland) at Indianapolis Colts – FOX, 11 a.m.

Ezra Cleveland played all 70 offensive snaps in Jacksonville's 34-20 win over the Denver Broncos, clinching a playoff berth for the Jaguars for the first time since 2022. Jacksonville gained 346 yards in the victory, which moved it to 11-4, the most wins the team has had since 2007.

Seattle Seahawks (DeMarcus Lawrence) at Carolina Panthers – CBS, 11 a.m.
DeMarcus Lawrence had a career-high nine tackles in Seattle's 38-37 overtime win over the Los Angeles Rams, which put the Seahawks first in the NFC West at 12-3. The Seahawks overcame a 16-point deficit in the final quarter before winning on a successful two-point conversion in the extra frame. Lawrence has 46 tackles this season and 496 across his 12-year career. Seattle ranks second in the league in scoring defense, allowing 18.6 points per game.

Miami Dolphins (Cedrick Wilson Jr.) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – FOX, 11 a.m.
Cedrick Wilson Jr. started and had an 11-yard reception in Miami's 45-21 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. The wide receiver has 125 catches for 1,516 yards and 12 touchdowns in his career, which has spanned 91 games.

New Orleans Saints (Kellen Moore) at Tennessee Titans – CBS, 11 a.m.
Kellen Moore led the Saints to their third straight win, a 29-6 win over the New York Jets. Rookie quarterback Tyler Shough had a career-high 308 passing yards, with wide receiver Chris Olave catching 10 passes for 148 yards and two touchdowns. Olave has 92 receptions this season, tied for sixth in the league. Taysom Hill added 36 receiving yards, making him the first player in the Super Bowl era to eclipse 1,000 career yards as a passer, rusher and receiver. The Saints outgained the Jets, 412-195, their highest offensive total of the year and second-lowest defensive total. 

Las Vegas Raiders (Ashton Jeanty) vs. New York Giants – CBS, 2:05 p.m.
Ashton Jeanty ran for 128 yards and a 51-yard touchdown while catching a 60-yard touchdown in the Raiders' 23-21 loss to the Houston Texans. Jeanty's 188 scrimmage yards mark a career-high, giving him 1,154 on the season. He has 10 total touchdowns, running and catching five apiece. The rookie has forced 75 missed tackles and gained 703 yards after contact.

Buffalo Bills (Khalil Shakir) vs. Philadelphia Eagles – FOX, 2:25 p.m.
Khalil Shakir had a team-high four catches for 34 yards in Buffalo's 23-20 win over the Cleveland Browns. The Bills clinched a playoff spot with the win and trail the New England Patriots by one game in the AFC East. Shakir ranks third among NFL wide receivers with 524 yards after catch and is fourth in the position group with 19 missed tackles forced.
