BOISE, Idaho – Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty has been named a finalist for the 95th James E. Sullivan Award, the Amateur Athletic Union announced. The award is presented annually to the most outstanding collegiate or Olympic athlete in the United States.

Jeanty's historic 2024 campaign featured 2,601 rushing yards, second-most in FBS single-season history. He scored 30 total touchdowns and gained 1,970 yards after contact while forcing 164 missed tackles. The junior was a unanimous All-American and received the Maxwell Award and Doak Walker Award.

The two-time Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year concluded his time at Boise State as the program's career record-holder in rushing yards (4,769), yards per carry (6.36), yards per game (119.2), 200-yard rushing games (8), 100-yard rushing games (22), consecutive 100-yard rushing games (14) and 200-yard all-purpose games (11).

The 95th recipient of the Sullivan Award will be announced at a ceremony in New York City on Tuesday, April 15. In its 94 years of existence, nine college football players have received the Sullivan Award. The most recent winner was Navy quarterback Keenan Reynolds (2015).
