
Casey Named Preseason All-America Fourth Team by Phil Steele

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State offensive tackle Kage Casey was named to Phil Steele's Preseason All-America Fourth Team, the outlet announced. The redshirt junior, who earned All-America honors from five outlets in 2024, is the only player from the Mountain West featured on the list.
Last season, Casey was tabbed second team All-America by The Athletic and Walter Camp. He earned third team honors from College Football Network, fourth team selection from Phil Steele and honorable mention from Sports Illustrated. The left tackle registered a 99.3 Pro Football Focus blocking efficiency, ranking third among FBS offensive tackles. He did not allow a sack in 440 opportunities, anchoring a unit that averaged 1.07 sacks allowed per game, 12th-fewest in the nation.
Behind Casey, Boise State's offense ranked in the nation's top-10 in rushing (240.4 ypg), total yards (466.0 ypg), scoring (37.3 ppg), 3rd down conversions (49.5%) and first downs (328). The Broncos totaled a school-record 3,365 rushing yards, with running back Ashton Jeanty winning the Doak Walker Award and Maxwell Award. Boise State repeated as MW champions and earned the No. 3 seed in the College Football Playoff.
