Boise State Ranked 25th in Preseason Coaches Poll

Broncos enter season ranked in Coaches Poll for first time since 2018
BOISE, Idaho – Boise State was voted 25th in the US LBM Coaches Poll, USA Today announced.
This is the first time the Broncos have been ranked in the preseason Coaches Poll since 2018, when they were tabbed 22nd. In the final Coaches Poll of the 2024 season, Boise State was selected No. 9, its highest finish since 2011.

The Broncos were selected as the preseason favorite to win the Mountain West, placing 10 student-athletes on the Preseason All-MW list. This includes quarterback Maddux Madsen, the MW Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, and offensive tackle Kage Casey, a Walter Camp First Preseason All-American. Boise State has been picked to win the conference or division title 18-straight years, including every year since joining the MW in 2011.

Boise State's historic 2024 campaign featured a second-consecutive MW title, No. 3 seed in the College Football Playoff and No. 8 ranking in the final AP Poll. Unanimous All-American Ashton Jeanty won the Maxwell Award and was the Heisman Trophy runner-up while head coach Spencer Danielson was named AFCA Region 5 Coach of the Year. The Broncos led the nation in sacks (55) and ranked fifth in scoring offense (37.3 ppg).

Boise State opens the 2025 season at South Florida on Thursday, August 28. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. MT with the game airing nationally on ESPN.
