BOISE, Idaho — Boise State men's basketball has added Max Teems and AJ Few to the coaching staff, head coach Leon Rice announced on Monday.
Entering his sixth season with the team, and first in a full-time capacity, Teems will serve as Director of Video Operations & Program Logistics. Few joins the Broncos as Director of Player Personnel & Men's Basketball BroncoPRO.
"We are extremely excited to add Max and AJ to our full-time staff," Rice said. "Max joined us five years ago and has been an invaluable asset to our coaches, student-athletes and support staff since his arrival. He served this program tremendously as a student manager and graduate assistant, and I'm thrilled to watch his continued growth and development.
"As for AJ, we're fortunate to add a young man with an extensive and expansive basketball background and pedigree. His knowledge, experience and acumen in all facets of the game will pay dividends and make us a better program, both now and in the foreseeable future."
In his new role, Teems will manage and oversee all aspects of video operations for men's basketball, including film breakdown and distribution. Additionally, he will coordinate and prepare opponent scouting reports and game plans, and assist in all recruiting efforts.
Prior to being promoted, Teems performed various roles for men's basketball while completing his undergraduate and graduate degrees at Boise State. He was the head student manager for three seasons (2020-23) before working as the team's video coordinator from 2023-25.
A key contributor to 118 victories since joining the Broncos, Teems graduated from Boise State on two occasions. He earned his bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies in May 2023 before garnering his master's degree in athletic leadership in 2025.
Embarking on his first season at Boise State, Few will have a sizable impact in various areas, including BroncoPRO. He will spearhead recruiting, aid in analytics, provide support in roster construction and serve as a liaison between men's basketball and the department's external affairs leadership team.
