Kenny Macklin Hired as Director of Football Operations

BOISE, Idaho – Kenny Macklin has been named the director of football operations, head coach Spencer Danielson announced on Monday.

Macklin joins the Broncos after serving four seasons at Sacramento State. He began his tenure in 2022 as an assistant director of football operations before working his way up to chief of staff.

As the chief of staff with the Hornets, he was responsible for scheduling and travel management. He directly oversaw the support staff of the football program and assisted with the hiring and onboarding process of all football personnel. 
 
Macklin was promoted to chief of staff after serving a year as the director of football operations. In this role, he managed the program's operating budget, directed all travel operations, oversaw the weekly schedule and managed the overall conduction of team meals. He also served as the official liaison between the football program and the athletic department.
 
Prior to his role as director of operations, Macklin served as an assistant director of operations for two seasons. He served as an operations assistant during the 2022 campaign.

Macklin played basketball for San Francisco State from 2017-20, where he served as a four-year member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
