BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Athletics has unveiled a powerful new benefit for Built Different Network members, direct access to current and former Bronco student-athletes. From March 9 through June 30, partners may post one complimentary job opportunity on the Boise State Athlete Network, the online hub connecting current and former Boise State student-athletes. The benefit creates a pipeline between Idaho businesses and driven, high-performing professionals.

"We're proud to expand the value of the Built Different Network by giving our members direct access to exceptional Bronco talent," said Collin Stoecker, Assistant Athletic Director/BroncoPRO. "If you're seeking proven performers who excel under pressure, achieve ambitious goals, and lead with confidence, you'll find them in our current and former Bronco student-athletes."
Launched in September, the Built Different Network is an innovative approach to strengthen connections and provide valuable resources that can help companies drive cost efficiencies and support long-term financial sustainability among thousands of Bronco supporters. Nearly 150 local companies have already joined.
Boise State Athletics is among the most engaged athletic departments on the Athlete Network platform, with more than 3,900 current and former Bronco student-athletes registered. The platform is managed by Varsity B, which preserves the legacy of Boise State while connecting alumni with one another, the university, and today's student-athletes. Through membership, former Broncos fund scholarships, support events and reunions, and champion the traditions that define what it means to be a Bronco.
"We've had great success hiring Boise State University student-athletes because its athletic programs instill in them the same values we strive for in our business: Family, Customer First, Commitment, Teamwork, and Work Ethic," said Jarred McKenzie, Chief Operating Officer, Dykman Electrical and Built Different Network member. "In the past, it has been difficult for businesses, student-athletes, and alumni to find one another when there is both a current need within a business and an athlete ready to advance their career. Having a network where athletes, alumni, and local businesses connect is a valuable resource for businesses and will open meaningful career paths for past, current, and future Bronco student-athletes."
According to a 2024 study published by the Harvard Business School, former student-athletes secure higher-level jobs and better pay after graduation than their non-athlete peers. These stats are attributed to how student-athletes balance rigorous athletic schedules with academic demands, demonstrating exceptional time management, teamwork, and leadership skills. In today's evolving college landscape, those student-athletes who have leveraged their Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) to launch sports marketing businesses possess even more valuable, entrepreneurial experience.
