Blue Team Comes Away Victorious at 2026 Boise State Spring Game

BOISE, Idaho - Boise State's 2026 spring game wrapped up on Saturday with the Blue team defeating the Orange team, 33-25.

The day started with a series of 1-on-1 challenges from players on each team, resulting in a 10-10 score before the game began.

On the third play of the game, Maddux Madsen found Qumonte Williams Jr. for a touchdown off a 62-yard flea flicker, giving the Blue a 17-10 lead.

Neither team scored again until just under the two-minute mark in the half, when the Blue squad added to its advantage when Rasean Jones made an acrobatic 18-yard touchdown reception off the throw from Madsen.

The Orange cut the lead to 24-17 when Max Cutforth found offensive lineman Tyler Ethridge for an 11-yard touchdown reception with 43 seconds left in the half.

The Orange squad won the halftime challenges 6-2, cutting the lead to 26-23 prior to the second half. No teams scored in the third frame, and after another round of challenges between quarters, the Blue team held a narrow 26-25 advantage entering the final frame.

With under two minutes left on the clock, Ty Tanner recorded a 40-yard interception return for a touchdown to give the Blue team a 33-25 lead. The Orange had one final drive to tie the game, but the Blue defense secured a fourth-down stop to clinch the win.
