BOISE, Idaho – Former Boise State offensive lineman Kage Casey was selected by the Denver Broncos in the 2026 NFL Draft on Saturday. The reigning AFC West champions picked Casey in the fourth round with the 111th overall pick.
Â
During his four-year career with the Broncos, Casey appeared in 46 games, making 41 starts at left tackle. He earned Freshman All-America and All-Mountain West second team honors in 2023, anchoring a unit that ranked 13th in the nation with 1.14 sacks allowed per game. Boise State averaged 214.9 rushing yards per game that season, sixth-most in the country, capturing the program's first MW title since 2019.
Â
In 2024, Casey was tabbed All-America by five outlets, including second team nods from The Athletic and Walter Camp. He played a team-high 947 offensive snaps and did not allow any sacks, helping the Blue and Orange rank 12th in the FBS with 1.07 sacks allowed per game. His 99.3 Pro Football Focus pass blocking efficiency ranked first in the league and third in the nation among offensive tackles. The Broncos totaled a school-record 3,365 rushing yards, averaging 240.4 per game. Boise State finished the year with a 12-2 record, earning a second-straight conference crown, the No. 3 seed in the College Football Playoff and the No. 8 ranking in the final AP Poll.
Â
A captain for the 2025 Broncos, Casey earned his second-straight All-MW first team selection and was named Phil Steele All-America honorable mention. He led the Broncos in offensive snaps for the second-straight year, totaling 942. His PFF offensive grade of 80.0 ranked first in the MW and fifth among FBS left tackles with at least 800 snaps. He was the team's highest-graded offensive lineman in seven of the 13 games he played, including the contest at No. 21 Notre Dame and the MW Championship win over UNLV, which gave Boise State its third-straight conference title.
Â
Casey is the 75th NFL draft pick in program history and 41st since 2006. He is the 11th offensive lineman to be selected, with nine of those coming since 2002. He is the first offensive lineman to be drafted since Ezra Cleveland, who was a second round selection by the Minnesota Vikings in 2020. A native of Happy Valley, Oregon, Casey is the third Bronco to be picked in the fourth round, joining Rick Woods (Pittsburgh Steelers, 1982) and John Bates (Washington Football Team, 2021).
Casey is the seventh Boise State product to be drafted by the Broncos, a group that includes Super Bowl champion offensive linemen Ryan Clady (2008) and Matt Paradis (2014), as well as safety JL Skinner, who was Casey's teammate at Boise State in 2022 before being selected in the sixth round in 2023.
