Boise State Athletics Honors Student-Athlete Graduates at Ceremony

Group includes 61 student-athletes and 18 graduate assistants

BOISE, Idaho - Boise State Athletics is proud to announce 61 student-athletes will earn undergraduate and graduate degrees on Friday and Saturday, as part of the 2026 Boise State University Spring Commencement at ExtraMile Arena. In partnership with the Master of Athletic Leadership program, the department will also recognize 18 graduate assistants, all have served within the department the past two academic years.

The student-athlete graduates represent 14 different sport programs. A graduation reception was held on Friday for all graduates and their families. Academic and department awards were given to the following.

Academic Excellence is awarded to the student-athletes and graduate student-athletes with the highest cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA).

Bronco In The Community is awarded to the student-athlete in the graduating class who has gone above and beyond in their efforts to give back.

Varsity B Honorary Captain is awarded to a student-athlete in the graduating class who displays commitment and service to the department and University beyond participation in sport.

Top Ten Scholar Award is one of the highest academic honors granted to an undergraduate student. To qualify for consideration, students must have at least a 3.8 grade point average and be nominated by their respective deans. From there, nominees undergo a rigorous review process that evaluates the depth and breadth of their academic coursework, research, creative work and publications, professional presentations and service to the campus and broader community.
