BOISE, Idaho – Boise State redshirt junior Leia Chung was named All-Mountain West First Team, the conference announced. Chung, who became the first Bronco since 1993 to win a conference title, is the first Boise State golfer to earn first team all-conference honors since Marie Beasley, who was selected by the Big West in 2001.

Chung played in every tournament for the Broncos, posting a team-best 72.23 scoring average, currently the second-lowest in single-season program history. After missing the entire 2024-25 campaign due to injury, she returned to action with a school-record 199 (-14) at the Golfweek Fall Challenge, winning the individual title. She added a seventh-place finish at the Molly Collegiate Invitational before capturing another tournament title at the New Mexico State Golf Iconic Classic, carding a 207 (-9) and leading the Broncos to the team crown (851, -13).

The Hawai'i native added three more top-20 finishes in the spring, including the individual title at the 2026 MW Championships, where she fired a 211 (-5), the lowest score at a conference championship in program history. This was her third tournament win of the season, setting another school record. Her current career scoring average of 72.90 is the lowest in program history.

Chung is the third Bronco to earn first-team all-conference honors, joining Beasley and Acey Erlandson (Big West, 2000). From 1993-96, four Broncos were named All-Big Sky, but no teams were designated. She is the sixth to receive All-MW honors, a group that includes current Bronco Teal Matsueda, who was a second team selection in 2025.

Chung is set to compete at the NCAA Regional in Stanford, May 11-13. She is the third player in program history to qualify for regionals as an individual, joining Erlandson and Genevieve Ling (2015).
