114 student-athletes named to Spring 2026 Academic All-Mountain West

BOISE, Idaho – The Mountain West announced 114 Boise State student-athletes were named to the Spring 2026 Academic All-Mountain West Team.

Three women's sport programs and men's track & field led the way, including women's track & field which had the most selections with 23, followed by gymnastics with 17, softball with 16, and men's track & field with 15. These sports were followed by women's basketball with 11, women's golf and men's and women's tennis with seven, men's golf with six, and men's basketball with five.

Spring sports include men's and women's basketball, women's gymnastics, men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field, men's and women's golf, men's and women's tennis, and softball.

With the help of the spring academic honorees, Bronco student-athletes posted the best single-year Academic Progress Rate (APR) in school history, with 13 teams receiving perfect single-year scores. This spring, student-athletes earned the highest single-semester GPA in department history with a 3.48 and a 3.50 cumulative, with all 18 sport programs securing a 3.0 team GPA or higher.

To be eligible for selection on the Spring 2026 Academic All-Mountain West Team, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and competed in 50 percent of the teams completed varsity contests. Some latitude was permitted to accommodate injured student-athletes.
