Popp Promoted to Full-Time Assistant Coach

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State gymnastics head coach Tina Bird announced the promotion of Adriana Popp to full-time assistant coach, Thursday. Popp was the program's graduate assistant during the 2025 and 2026 seasons and obtained her Master's of Athletic Leadership. The Broncos won the 2025 Mountain West regular season title and finished second at the 2025 and 2026 MW Championships.

After five years as a gymnast and two years as our graduate assistant, Adriana has already played an important role in our team's success" said Bird. "Her knowledge, experience and passion for our program will be invaluable as we continue to grow and compete at a high level. We can't wait to see all she'll help us achieve. Welcome, Coach Popp!"

Popp competed for the Broncos from 2020-24, earning MW Co-Beam Specialist of the Year in 2024 and securing six all-conference honors between the MW and Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference. Boise State captured the inaugural MW title in 2024 and qualified for NCAA Regionals four-straight seasons. A native of Easton, Pa., Popp is tied for third in school history with 12-career beam wins, including the 2021 MRGC Championships crown. At the 2023 NCAA Regional First Round meet, she notched a 9.925 on beam, the highest beam score at a NCAA Regional meet in program history.

Boise State will start competing in the Pac-12 during the 2027 season, joining Oregon State, Southern Utah and Utah State. In 2028, Texas State will compete in the conference. Bronco fans interested in season tickets for the 2027 campaign can fill out an interest form HERE.
