Investment supports the continued evolution of the game day experience and long-term success of Bronco Athletics

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Athletics announced a sponsorship with Progressive Insurance that will bring a first-of-its-kind brand integration to The Blue during the 2026 Bronco football season. The Progressive word mark will be positioned beneath the iconic Bronco head at midfield. The sponsorship, facilitated by Learfield through its corporate partnership and Bronco Sports Properties teams, represents an investment in Boise State Athletics designed to support the continued growth and long-term sustainability of the department while enhancing the overall experience for Bronco Nation.

"We are grateful to Progressive Insurance for believing in Boise State and investing in this new sponsorship," said Boise State Director of Athletics Jeramiah Dickey. "It takes a TEAM, and integrating Progressive in an intentional and strategic way on The Blue was important to all of those involved. This is about making an investment in the future of our student-athletes and Boise State Athletics. We are never a finished product, and we will continue to look for opportunities that position the Broncos for long-term success. We also appreciate Bronco Sport Properties and Learfield for helping bring this sponsorship together. What's Next!"

Boise State is one of 13 universities collaborating with Progressive, including: Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Purdue, SMU, Syracuse, Texas Tech, USC, and Wake Forest.

* The sponsorship comes at a transformational time for Boise State Athletics, with several significant milestones converging during the 2026 season.

* The seventh iteration of The Blue, one of the most recognizable traditions in college football.

* Boise State's entrance into a rebuilt Pac-12 Conference, marking a new chapter for the Broncos and providing expanded opportunities for the department and its student-athletes.

* 40th Anniversary of The Blue, honoring four decades of a playing surface that has become synonymous with Boise State.

* New field markings will add additional elements of Bronco history and tradition, including:

  • Orange sideline hash marks at the 2-yard and 11-yard lines on both sides of the field, honoring Ashton Jeanty and Kellen Moore, two of the most transformational players in program history.
  • An outline of the state of Idaho at the 35-yard lines for kickoffs.
  • An all-white Pac-12 logo.
* The new North End Zone will open, adding premium hospitality spaces and fresh ways for fans to experience game day inside Albertsons Stadium.

* Installation of more than 450 feet of state-of-the-art LED ribbon boards, adding another major enhancement designed to elevate the fan experience for one of the premier game day environments in college football. The new ribbon boards stretch along the east fascia above the lower bowl and across the north end zone in front of the new premium field suites, bringing dynamic visuals, real-time game information and interactive entertainment to every corner of the stadium. The west fascia ribbon boards have also been extended to mirror the new east ribbon boards.

* Kellen Moore will be honored with an 11-foot bronze statue outside Albertsons Stadium, creating a permanent tribute to one of the most influential figures in Boise State football history.

Together, these investments reflect Boise State's continued commitment to building an elevated, sustainable, and distinctive experience for its student-athletes, fans, alumni and community while preserving the traditions that have made The Blue and Bronco football unique.

"College football is about more than what happens on game day – it reflects the pride, tradition and community that defines Boise State and we're proud to support the student-athletes, alumni and fans who help make this program so special," said Sean Freeman, Media Business Leader at Progressive.  "We're thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of game days with this historic fanbase."

As a proud sponsor of the Broncos, Progressive's presence will be complemented by in-game videoboard features, in-venue LED signage, digital and social media integrations and other game day experiences designed to engage fans before kickoff, throughout the game and beyond the final whistle.

"Sponsorships like this are an important part of creating a sustainable future for Boise State Athletics," said Landon Day, Vice President and General Manager of Bronco Sports Properties. "Progressive's investment provides Boise State with additional resources to continue elevating the game day experience for Bronco Nation while supporting the department's long-term growth. We are proud to help bring together two strong brands in a way that is authentic to Boise State and delivers meaningful value to the university, its fans, and the Treasure Valley community."

Progressive's branding and integrated marketing elements will debut at the Broncos home opener on Sept. 12 against Memphis.
