Wagner Recognized on Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State tight end Matt Wagner was recognized on the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List, the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce and SPORTyler announced. The award is presented annually to the nation's top offensive player who exhibits the enduring characteristics that define Earl Campbell: integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community and tenacity. Additionally, the student-athlete must be born in Texas and/or have attended a Texas high school, junior college or university. Wagner is a native of Prosper, Texas, and graduated from Rock Hill HS, located in Frisco, Texas.

Wagner enters his senior campaign with 34 catches for 359 yards and one touchdown, compiling 24 receptions and 251 yards in 2025. He has appeared in 31 games as a Bronco, starting 19. In the 2025 regular season finale, he posted a career-best five catches for 69 yards, scoring his first-career touchdown. The Broncos won at Utah State, 25-24, clinching a spot in the Mountain West Championship. Wagner's list of preseason accolades includes a spot on the Shriners Children's East-West Bowl 1000 and Preseason All-Pac-12 selection by Athlon Sports (second team) and Phil Steele (third team).
