Boise State Reveals North End Zone Branded Murals

Branded murals tell a story and celebrate what makes Boise State and Bronco Nation special
BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Athletics has installed new branded murals on the North End Zone concourse that reinforce Boise State as the Front Porch of Idaho, a place where fans from across the region come together to celebrate. In the spirit of Freak Alley, downtown Boise's iconic outdoor gallery, the North End Zone concourse will become a destination of its own.
Four original murals created by professional muralist Devin Finley, who has more than 15 years of experience, bring together the sights, symbols and stories that make Boise State and Idaho unique. Designed to complement the North End Zone's bold color palette and overall aesthetic, the murals transform the concourse into a celebration of Bronco pride, and a must-see stop for fans exploring the new space.
The murals are generously supported by the Nicolaysen Family.
Welcome to The Blue
Located on the east wall of the First Federal Bank Foothills Club
The 13' by 14' piece puts The Blue front and center, framed by two iconic white hash marks and a silhouette of Albertsons Stadium. Layered into the design is the famous hook and ladder play from Boise State's unforgettable 2007 Fiesta Bowl victory, a moment that helped put the Broncos and The Blue on the national stage.
Positioned to greet fans entering through Entry 1 or arriving from the east concourse, the mural captures the excitement of stepping into Albertsons Stadium and celebrates the place of Bronco memories past, present, and future.
Idaho Mountain Range and Bronco Head
Located on the northeast wall of the First Federal Bank Foothills Club
A 24' x 14' design features a large Bronco head set against the Boise foothills and Idaho's iconic landscape. The combination of the Bronco and the foothills reflects the unmistakable identity of Boise State, a university and athletic program deeply connected to the place it calls home.
It is a celebration of Bronco pride, Idaho pride and the rugged spirit that defines both.
Dan Paul Hammer Tribute
Located on the northwest wall of the First Federal Bank Foothills Club
The 36' x 14' mural features the forearms and gloved hands of a Boise State football player carrying the Dan Paul Hammer, alongside an image inspired by Dan Paul.
Paul played for the Broncos from 2008-12 before passing away in July 2019 at the age of 30.
Today, his legacy lives on through a scholarship and the Dan Paul Hammer, a symbol of collective strength and the foundation of Boise State Football. Each week, the hammer is awarded to the Bronco who best embodies the blue-collar spirit Paul represented, and its recipient carries it onto the field as the team enters the stadium.
Boise State Retro Logo, Boise Skyline and Table Rock
Located on the exterior wall of the elevator lobby providing access to the Simplot Field Level Club and First Federal Bank Foothills Club
At the center of the 13' x 14' mural is an eight-foot graphic of Boise State's iconic retro logo, designed by Boise artist John Collias. The vintage orange-and-blue Bronco, set against the outline of the Boise foothills, served as Boise State's primary emblem from 1982-2002 and was painted at midfield when The Blue debuted in 1986.
Below it, the Boise skyline and Table Rock anchor the mural in the community that has grown alongside Boise State.
Table Rock, a longtime landmark northeast of downtown Boise, is woven into the fabric of the Treasure Valley and remains a favorite destination for the Bronco community. Many Boise State athletic teams have made the hike to Table Rock a tradition at the conclusion of offseason training.
