Boise State Enters AP Poll at No. 22

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State entered the Associated Poll rankings in the No. 22 spot following a 32-7 victory on the road over Western Michigan on Saturday.

The Broncos (3-1) are in the AP Poll for the first time since it was selected 25th in the preseason rankings in 2025. Boise State is in the poll during the regular season for the first time since the 2024 campaign, when it ended the season in the No. 8 slot. It is the first time the team is ranked in the AP Poll entering the fifth game of the season since 2024, when the Broncos earned a No. 21 ranking following a win against Washington State.

Boise State tallied 221 points in the AP Poll, jumping nine spots. Last week, Boise State was the seventh team out of the AP Poll with 48 votes. The Broncos received 112 points in the US LBM Coaches Poll, three positions short of the top 25.

Boise State is 3-1 on the season. After suffering a 34-27 loss to No. 2 Oregon in the season opener, the Broncos followed up back-to-home victories over Memphis and South Dakota with a convincing road win over Western Michigan on Saturday. The Blue and Orange held Western Michigan scoreless for a majority of the game, allowing its only touchdown with just over a minute left to play in a 32-7 statement victory.Â

The Broncos will return to Albertsons Stadium for a game against Utah State on Oct. 3. Kickoff is slated for 5:30 p.m. MT and will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.Â
