2018-19: CROSS COUNTRY- Saw action in two meets on the season, appearing in the varsity lineup on both occasions . . . Cracked the top seven with a seventh-place finish at the Sundodger Invitational, running 24:28.50 for 8k (Sept. 8) . . . Ran 24:22.4 for 8k at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational to place 86th, as the Broncos finished fifth (Sept. 28).
2017-18: CROSS COUNTRY- Finished in the top 10 at both meets he competed in . . . Led the team with a third-place finish at the Charles Bowles Invitational in 25:02.4 for 8k (Sept. 30) . . . Finished 10th as the No. 3 scorer for Boise State at the Inland Empire Challenge in 24:21.4 (Oct. 14) . . . INDOOR- Scored a point at the Mountain West Championships with an eighth-place showing in the 800m (Feb. 22-24) . . . Had a big weekend at the Boise State Challenge where he took first and ran a personal best of 4:08.28 in the mile. He also won the 800m when he ran a season best 1:53.72 (Feb. 10) . . . Won the 800m in a season best 1:54.02 at the Bronco Invitational (Jan. 20) . . . Ran 1:54.29 for 800m at the UW Invitational to place 19th (Jan. 26-27) . . . Competed in both the 800m and the mile at the Jacksons Open (Dec. 9). Finished second in the mile in 4:19.91 and third in the 800m in 1:55.45 . . . Ran the 800m leg of the Boise State ‘Orange’ DMR at the Ed Jacoby Invitational (Jan. 12-13) . . . OUTDOOR- Made five appearances on the season, running the 800m and 1,500m . . . Scored a point at the Mountain West Championships (May 9-12), taking eighth in the 800m in a season best of 1:53.16 . . . Opened the season by taking fifth in the 1,500m (3:53.54) at the Stanford Invitational (March 30-31) . . . 2016-17: CROSS COUNTRY - Did not compete…INDOOR – Picked up plenty of experience in the 800m in his first season as a Bronco, competing in six different meets…scored at the Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships with a 1:54.18 in the 800m final to take eighth…his 800m PR came in the preliminary at the conference championships, running a 1:52.55…started the season at the Jacksons Open and ran a 4:25.74 to take second in the mile…third at the Ed Jacoby Invitational in the 800m with a 1:57.13…ran in the 600m (1:21.33) at the Bronco Invitational to cross the line in third…took first in the 800m (1:54.14) and mile (4:15.70) at the Boise State Challenge…also captured the 800m title at the Jacksons/NB Boise Indoor Invite…also helped the DMR team take fifth (10:14.24) at the league championships…OUTDOOR – Ninth in the 800m (1:55.52) at the Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field Championships, coming up just short of qualifying for the final…ran an outdoor PR at the NNU Invitational (1:53.29) to take the 800m title…second at the Border Clash with a 1:53.78…competed in four total meets in the outdoor season.
HIGH SCHOOL CAREER
Noah Horsburgh – a local product from Meridian, Idaho – comes to Boise State after leading the Mountain View High School cross country team to two-consecutive state championships in 2015 and 2016. He placed fifth in 2015 and sixth in 2016 individually, and capped off his senior year with a 19th-place performance at the Nike Cross Country Northwest meet. He was a three-time distance MVP for his prep cross country team and a four-time Idaho academic achievement recipient.
