BOISE STATE CAREER
5TH YEAR (2021): Started 11 of the 12 games in which he appeared…finished tied for fourth on the team in tackles (52) and fifth in tackles-for-loss (6.0)...broke up three passes, made one interception, forced a fumble and blocked a kick…recorded six solo tackles in the season-opener at UCF (Sept. 2)...registered a career-high seven solo tackles against Oklahoma State (Sept. 18)..also notched 2.0 tackles-for-loss…made his 55th-career appearance as a Bronco against Air Force (Oct. 16), a Boise State record…made his sixth-career interception and first of the season at Fresno State (Nov. 20)...added three tackles and a pass breakup…tied his career-high seven solo tackles and notched a season-best 3.0 tackles-for-loss at San Diego State (Nov. 26).
SENIOR (2020): Started all seven games...had a tackle-for-loss among his three tackles against Utah State (Oct. 24)...made four tackles (three solo) and broke up a pass against BYU (Nov. 6)...scooped up a blocked field goal and returned it 91 yards for a touchdown, made eight tackles, and broke up three passes against Colorado State (Nov. 12)...had a tackle-for-loss among his five solo tackles at Hawai'i (Nov. 21).
JUNIOR (2019): Named to the All-Mountain West First Team...started all 14 games...finished third on the team in tackles-for-loss (11.0) and fourth in tackles (61)...had 3.0 sacks in addition to an interception and a fumble recovery...made 4.0 tackles-for-loss, including a strip sack, among his six solo tackles at Florida State (Aug. 31)...broke up a pass and made four tackles (three solo) against Marshall (Sept. 6)...shared a tackle-for-loss among three tackles (two solo) against Portland State (Sept. 14)...picked off a pass, which he returned for 50 yards, made four tackles (two solo) in win over Air Force (Sept. 20)...had a sack, 2.5 tackles-for-loss, and five total tackles while also breaking up a pass at UNLV (Oct. 5)...forced and recovered a fumble, broke up a pass, and had three solo tackles against Hawai'i (Oct. 12)...broke up two passes and made nine tackles (six solo) at San José State (Nov. 2)...had a sack among his six tackles (three solo) against Wyoming (Nov. 9)...had a tackle-for-loss among his five tackles (four solo) against New Mexico (Nov. 16)...made a tackle-for-loss among his four solo tackles at Utah State (Nov. 23).
SOPHOMORE (2018): Appeared in all 13 games, making nine starts...led the team with three interceptions, broke up four passes, made 40 tackles which included a sack and 3.0 tackles-for-loss...also returned a punt 74 yards for a touchdown...made four tackles (three solo) in season opener at Troy (Sept. 1)...had two tackles, including one for loss, against UConn (Sept. 8)...broke up a pass and made three tackles (two solo) at Wyoming (Sept. 29)...led the Broncos with seven tackles and broke up a pass at Nevada (Oct. 13)...returned a punt 74 yards for a touchdown (after scooping up teammate Avery Williams' fumble on the initial return) and intercepted a pass against Colorado State (Oct. 19)...had a sack among his five tackles (three solo) against BYU (Nov. 3)...picked off a pass and made two tackles at New Mexico (Nov. 16)...intercepted a pass and made five solo tackles against Utah State (Nov, 24)...recovered a fumble, broke up a pass, and had a tackle-for-loss against Fresno State (Dec. 1).
FRESHMAN (2017): Appeared in all 14 games, making five starts...scored two defensive touchdowns, the first a 34-yard fumble return at San Diego State (Oct. 14) and the second a 53-yard pick-six in the Las Vegas Bowl against Oregon (Dec. 16)...made 32 tackles (23 solo) on the year with a sack and 6.5 tackles-for-loss...assisted on a tackle in his collegiate debut against Troy (Sept. 2)...made two tackles (one solo) at Washington State (Sept. 9)...had a tackle-for-loss among his four tackles at BYU (Oct. 6)...scored on a 34-yard fumble return, and made four solo tackles at San Diego State (Oct. 14)...collected one tackle vs. Wyoming (Oct. 21)...collected two tackles (one solo), with 1.5 tackles-for-loss at Utah State (Oct. 29)...tallied three tackles (all solo) with one for a 4-yard loss vs. Nevada (Nov. 4)...collected two solo tackles and was credited for one pass breakup and one QB hurry at Colorado State (Nov. 11)...picked off a pass and took it 53 yards for a touchdown at the Las Vegas Bowl against Oregon, and finished with three tackles, including two for loss (Dec. 16).
Three-star recruit according to ESPN, 247Sports, Rivals and Scout.com...named the Honolulu Star-Advertiser Defensive Player of the Year...also selected as the 2016 American Family Insurance ALL-USA Hawaii Football Team Defensive Player of the Year...voted the Super 25 Top Star for games played the weekend of Oct. 20-22 by readers of USA TODAY...named a team captain as a senior...led the defense on a Kahuku team that finished 11-2 and made it to the First Hawaiian Bank Open Division State Championship game...Kahuhu was also nationally ranked at season's end, finishing the year at No. 61...finished he senior season with 26.5 total tackles, six interceptions and five defensive touchdowns.
