Taylor Thompson returned for his second stint as a volunteer assistant coach with the Broncos in 2017. Thompson originally volunteered for the team from 2014-16 while he worked towards his MS in Kinesiology. 

During his first stint with the Broncos, Thompson helped coach Boise State athletes to 12 All-American honors, 12 Mountain West individual championships and 10 school records. 

A graduate of University of Mary, Thompson holds a USATF Level 1 Coaching Certification and is an ACSM Certified: Health Fitness Specialist.

Thompson competed for the University of Mary cross country and track and field teams during his undergraduate career. The Williston, N.D. native shares the same hometown as Boise State head coach, Corey Ihmels, as well as current freshman, Leif Everson.
