Cody Sohn joined the Boise State track and field and cross country programs as an assistant coach in Fall of 2018. She worked with the program during the 2018 outdoor track and field season as a sports performance coach in a part-time capacity.

She joins the program after working as the Northwest Project Manager for Team Red White Blue – a nonprofit dedicated to connecting veterans to their communities through physical and social activity. Prior to working with Team RWB, she spent six years as an instructor and coach in performance enhancement and resilience techniques at Comprehensive Soldier and Family Fitness at Fort Benning, Ga. In that position, she worked with military personnel and their families on psychological skills to improve performance and build personal and professional resilience.

A graduate of Arizona State with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, Sohn competed for the Sun Devils as an undergraduate, where she was a member of Arizona State’s lineup at the NCAA cross country championships every year of her career – including finishing as the team’s No. 2 runner as a senior. On the track, she finished fourth in the 3,000m steeplechase at the Pac-10 Championships in 2002.

Sohn also holds a master’s in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Denver. She lives in Boise with her husband, Trent.
