Broncos Earn All-American Honors as Outdoor Season Concludes at Nationals

EUGENE, Ore. – Boise State's Hanna Ackermann and Landon Helms earned Second Team All-America honors, while Kaiya Robertson received honorable mention as all three Broncos wrapped up their outdoor track and field seasons at the 2025 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
 
Helms, the first Bronco decathlete to compete at nationals in 13 years, finished ninth overall with a personal-best score of 7,696 points. Over the course of the 10 events, he recorded three personal bests and tied two others. Helms finished just one spot shy of First Team All-America honors, and his score ranks third all time in Boise State history.
 
In the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase, Ackermann posted a personal-best time of 9:54.21 to place 16th, securing Second Team All-America honors. She becomes the fourth female Bronco to earn All-America recognition in the event, and the first since Allie Ostrander in 2019. Her time stands as the third fastest in program history.
 
Robertson concluded her junior season with a 22nd-place finish in the women's 1,500-meters (4:15.31), earning All-America Honorable Mention. The school record holder in the event, Robertson becomes the third female Bronco to earn All-America honors in the 1,500 and the first since Emma Bates in 2019. She was the only Bronco this season to compete at both the NCAA Cross Country Championships and the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
 
Notables:
  • This marks the first time since 2021 that multiple Boise State athletes have competed at the outdoor national championships.
  • It's the first time since 2016 that both the men's and women's teams have been represented at the same national meet.
  • Ackermann is the first Bronco woman to earn All-America honors in the steeplechase since Allie Ostrander (2019).
  • Robertson is the first Bronco woman to earn All-America honors in the 1,500 meters since Emma Bates (2019).
  • Helms' score of 7,696 ranks third all time in school history, improving on his previous mark.
  • Ackermann's 9:54.21 in the steeplechase is also the third-fastest in program history.
