
Nine Broncos Earn CSC All-District Honors

BOISE, Idaho – Nine Boise State cross country and track and field student-athletes received College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors, it was announced on Tuesday.

Four women—Hanna Ackermann, Emily Jobes, Abby Kendrick, and Kaiya Robertson—earned the all-district distinction. Five men—Josh Dickinson, Landon Helms, Joe Hudson, Brian Kiprotich, and Alex Thompson—were recognized by CSC.

CSC Academic All-District honors highlights the nation's top student-athletes for their performances in both athletics and academics. To qualify, athletes had to place in the top 50 at the 2024 NCAA West Regional in cross country or hold a top-50 regional ranking in a single track event. Additionally, all student-athletes are required to maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Ackermann, a sophomore biology major with a 3.95 GPA, was one-of-three Broncos to compete at the 2025 NCAA Division I Track and Field Championships. The Bichl, Germany, native placed 16th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a personal-best time of 9:54.21.

Jobes, a junior psychology major from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, received her first CSC academic honor. She placed 20th at the NCAA West Regional (Nov. 15) and produced the 20th-fastest steeplechase time in the West Region. She notched a 3.57 GPA.

Kendrick graduated in May with a degree in health studies and a 3.95 GPA. The Missoula, Montana, native posted a personal best of 10:02.65 in the 3,000m steeplechase at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships (May 15-17)Â and went on to place 19th at the NCAA West First Round (May 28-31).

Robertson, a junior with a 4.0 GPA in health sciences, received her second Academic All-District award. She recorded top-25 regional times in both the 800 and 1,500-meters during the outdoor season, and ranked in the top 50 in the indoor mile and distance medley relay. Robertson was the only Bronco to qualify for both cross country and outdoor nationals, earning All-America honorable mention after placing 22nd in the 1,500m.

For the men, Dickinson earned the award for a second-straight year. He graduated with a master's in business administration and a 3.60 GPA. The Ilkley, England, native placed 35th at the NCAA West Regional (Nov. 15) with a time of 29:49.8.
Helms, a junior transfer from Texas A&M, holds a 3.70 GPA while pursuing a degree in project management. He won Mountain West titles in both the heptathlon and decathlon, and qualified for the NCAA Championships in the latter. He finished ninth nationally in the decathlon and earned second-team All-America honors. He recorded the third-highest score in Boise State history (7673 points).

Hudson, a native of Malham, England, earned Academic All-District honors for the second time in his career. He holds a bachelor's in finance and an MBA. Hudson finished 17th at the cross country NCAA West Regional (Nov. 15) and 41st in the 10,000-meters at the NCAA West First Round (May 28-31).

Kiprotich, a health studies major with a 3.70 GPA, placed 32nd at the cross country NCAA West Regional (Nov. 15) and fifth in the 10,000m at the MW Outdoor Championships (May 15-17). The Kapcherop, Kenya, native is a key contributor in distance events.

Thompson, an economics major with a 3.81 GPA, finished 50th at cross country regionals (Nov. 15) and placed sixth in the 1,500m at the MW Outdoor Championships (May 15-17). He was also part of the indoor distance medley relay team that earned bronze at the MW Indoor Championships (Feb. 27-March 1).
