Matt Wilde joined the Boise State athletic staff in June 2025 after serving as General Counsel for ten years. He currently serves as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Legal Affairs & Governance, and Senior Counsel to the Athletic Department.
Responsibilities
- Provides legal counsel/support and strategic guidance to the Athletic Department leadership, coaches, and staff
- Provides oversight over the department's legal affairs, including regulatory compliance and litigation, conference and University governance, and governance by Boise State's Board of Trustees and State Board of Education leadership
- Negotiates, drafts, reviews, approves and/or monitors contracts arising in the Athletic Department, including employment contracts, business operation contracts, revenue-generating contracts, and facility use agreements
- Serves on the leadership and senior staff teams
