Raul Ibarra joined the Boise State Athletic Department as an assistant equipment manager in the fall of 1995. Ibarra is now the assistant director of athletic equipment operations.

During his tenure at Boise State he has worked with nearly every Olympic sports program in the athletic department. He currently oversees the needs for beach volleyball, men’s and women’s cross country and both track & field teams, as well as both golf teams, and softball. He also serves as host for visiting football teams.

Ibarra joined the Bronco staff after graduating from Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario, Ore., where he assisted the basketball coach for two years. He received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice in 1999 and obtained his master’s degree in criminal justice administration in 2001, both from Boise State. He is currently working on his doctoral degree in education, also from Boise State.

Ibarra moved to Idaho when he was a child and graduated from McCall-Donnelly High School in 1992. He and his wife Rashelle have two children a daughter, Karinya Joyce, and a son, Raul Andres, Jr.
