Rene Baraza joined the Bronco staff in 2013, and has held a variety of roles in his tenure. Barraza was promoted to assistant manager for events and facilities in May 2018.
He was later promoted again to the director of event operations in July of 2023. In this role, he is charged with overseeing all athletic events for the Broncos.Â
Prior to joining Boise State, he served as an intern with the Spokane Shine of the Women’s Premier Soccer League. With the Shine, Barraza worked in external relations.
A graduate of Idaho State, with a bachelor’s in physical education with an emphasis in sports management (2013), and a master’s in athletic administration (2014).
