Taylor Pope arrived in the Treasure Valley in April 2026 as an assistant wide receivers coach.

Pope returns to the Broncos following a stint with Washington. He worked with returners his first season with the Huskies in 2022, before elevating to an offensive analyst for the 2023 campaign. Washington had the second-best passing offense (343.7 passing yards per game), 12th best total offense (462.1 total yards per game), and 13th in scoring offense (36.0 points per game). The Huskies reached the National Championship game, while quarterback Michael Penix Jr. finished second in the Heisman Trophy race. He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Fresno State in the 2020 season, joining Kalen DeBoer when he moved to Washington.

Pope played wide receiver for Boise State from 2012-16, mainly appearing on special teams. A walk-on for his four seasons, he earned a scholarship for his redshirt senior season, playing in 12 games. Pope played in 35 games for the Blue and Orange throughout his career, including the Fiesta Bowl victory over Arizona in 2014.

Pope joins the Broncos after serving as an assistant athletic director at Xavier College Prep in Palm Desert, Calif. He served as the offensive coordinator for the football team while concurrently serving as the track and field head coach. Prior to joining Fresno State, Pope served as a co-offensive coordinator and special teams coordinator at Xavier College Prep.
