Kokoulina, Thongdack Travel to ITA National Indoor Tennis Championships

BOISE, Idaho - Boise State’s Polina Kokoulina and Pichittra Thongdack will head to Columbus, Ohio this weekend to represent the BSU women’s tennis team at the 2007 Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s National Indoor Tennis Championships hosted by The Ohio State University from Nov. 1-4.

Kokoulina, a senior, will join Thongdack, a sophomore, as one of 16 women’s doubles teams in the 2007 tournament. The duo qualified for the championships after taking the doubles title at the Wilson/ITA Central Region Championships in Tulsa, Okla., October 17-21.

BSU’s doubles team will face the No. 3 seed of Kristi Miller and Whitney McCray of Georgia Tech in the first round at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1. The doubles main draw and consolation brackets for the quarterfinal round will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. The semifinals will be held on Saturday afternoon, while the consolation finals will be at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday and the main final in the afternoon.

The Ohio State University plays host to the 2007 ITA Indoor Championships with the tournament being held at The Racquet Club of Columbus.
