BRONCOS BEGIN PRACTICE IN HONOLULU FOR SHERATON HAWAI?I BOWL

HONOLULU, Hawaii The Boise State football team kicked off its bowl week preparation in Honolulu Tuesday morning for the Sheraton Hawai’i Bowl with a practice at the University of Hawaii.

 

The Broncos will practice through Saturday in preparation for the bowl game.

 

Boise State (10-2) will meet East Carolina (7-5), a Conference USA team, Sunday at 6:00 p.m. (MT).  The Broncos are making their sixth straight bowl appearance, including five different bowls in the last five seasons.

 

Boise State has played in the Fort Worth Bowl, the Liberty Bowl, the MPC Computers Bowl, the Fiesta Bowl and now the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl.  The Broncos have played in Fort Worth, Texas; Memphis, Tenn.; Boise; Glendale, Ariz.; and now Honolulu, Hawaii during that time.

 

Boise State is 5-2 all-time in bowl games, including a win over Oklahoma in last year’s Fiesta Bowl.  Boise State is 2-1 in bowl games against teams from Conference USA.  The Broncos beat Louisville in the Humanitarian Bowl in 2000 and TCU in the Fort Worth Bowl in 2003, while losing to Louisville in the Liberty Bowl in 2004.
