SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI TO VISIT BRONCO STADIUM DURING 2007 FOOTBALL SEASON

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State University Director of Athletic Gene Bleymaier has announced that the 2007 Bronco football season will open on Aug. 30 (Thursday) at home against Weber State University, and that the University of Southern Mississippi will visit Bronco Stadium on Sept. 22 (Saturday).
The addition of Southern Miss. brings Boise State’s schedule of non-conference games to five. The Broncos play at the University of Washington on Sept. 7 (Saturday) and Bowling Green State University on Sept. 29 (Saturday), while hosting the University of Wyoming on Sept. 15 (Saturday).
Boise State had originally scheduled to play Weber State on Sept. 1 (Saturday).
Bleymaier also stated that the 2007 Western Athletic Conference schedule is still being worked on by the league office and he hopes to be able to announce the rest of Bronco schedule in the very near future.
The Broncos are scheduled to play the University of Idaho, the University of Nevada, New Mexico State University and San Jose State at home in Bronco Stadium, and travel to Fresno State, the University of Hawai’i, Louisiana Tech University and Utah State University. Dates and times have yet to be announced by the WAC.
Boise State will return its game with Southern Miss. during the 2008 season. Next year’s date for the game in Hattiesburg, Miss., will be announced at a later date.
