Boise State Drops Match to No. 39 Oregon

EUGENE, Ore. The No. 48 Boise State University women’s tennis (7-2) team fell to No. 39 Oregon, 5-2, Saturday, at the Student Tennis Center at Eugene, Ore.

 

Polina Kokoulina and Jana Mackova collected the two match points for the Broncos.

 

Kokoulina, playing No. 2, defeated Carmen Seremeta in straight sets, 7-6 (10-8) and 6-2, to earn the point for Boise State.

 

At No 4, Mackova earned a straight set victory over Anna Powasaka, 6-4 and 6-0, to wrap up the scoring for the Broncos.

 

The match opened with Boise State being swept in doubles.

 

Laura Baum and Mackova suffered just their second loss in dual match play when they were defeated by Dominika Dieskova and Ana Cecilia Olivos, 8-5. At No. 2, Kokoulina and Klaudia Wlodarczyk fell to Carmen Seremeta and Claudia Hirt, 8-7 (10-4). Tiffany Coll and Bianca Jochimsen dropped their first match of the season to Monica Hoz de Vila and Anna Powasaka, 8-5.
