BOISE, Idaho Boise State sophomore Sawyer Bosch became the second Bronco of the year to be named as the cross country WAC Athlete of the Week. Bosch earned the honor with a season-high second place finish this weekend at the Bronco Invitational.
Bosch, a sophomore from Portland, Ore. (Borah HS), finished in the top-five for the third time this season. Bosch posted his best 8K time (24:39) of the year to place second overall at the Bronco Invitational in Santa Clara. Bosch led the Broncos to a third place team finish at the event, beating out four other WAC teams.

2007: Cross Country - Earned First Team All-WAC honors...finished seventh at the WAC Championships with a time of 23:58.81...recorded top 20 finishes in six of seven races...finished in third place at the Northwest Nazarene Hampton Inn and Suites Classic (18:49.9)...recorded a fifth place finish at the West Coast Preview (25:34.2)...also finished 13th at the Bob Firman Invite, 16th at the Santa Clara Invitational and 19th at the Charles Bowles Classic.
High School - A two-sport letterman at Borah High School in Boise, Idaho, lettering four times in both cross country and track and field...won the 2005 Idaho cross country championship...state cross country runner-up in 2004...won the district cross country championship in 2004 and 2005...led Borah High School to four consecutive team track and field championships...member of the three-time Junior Olympic Team Champions, Team Idaho...posted a 4:25 in the 1,600m...recorded a 15:33 on the 5,000m cross country course...high school coach was Tim Severa.
