Boise State to Open 2026 Season at the Roy Griak Invitational

WHAT'S NEXT
Boise State cross country will open its 2026 season at the 40th annual Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis, Minn. on Friday.
The women's race will feature 2025 second-team All-Mountain West cross country selections, Bianca Boehnke and Amit Koma. The men's team will take the course after a second-place finish in the MW last season with nine new runners.

Head Coach Pat McCurry enters his third season leading the Broncos.Â

The Roy Griak Invitational will serve as one of three regular season meets before the Broncos host the 2026 Pac-12 Cross Country Championships at Warm Springs Golf Course on Oct. 30.Â

Since McCurry took over, the Broncos have remained on the podium in conference finishes.

The women's team is receiving national votes from the committee after finishing 22nd at the NCAA Championships last season.Â

Both teams finished second in the MW last year.

The race will feature 16 new Broncos, seven for the women's team and nine for the men's team. There will be nine Broncos making their collegiate debuts.

The women's 6k is set for a 9:30 a.m. MT start with the men's 8k to follow at 10:15 a.m. MT.Â
