
BOISE STATE BLANKS CAL POLY, 41-0, SWEEPS WEEKEND DUALS

The dual opened at 157-pounds with the most anticipated match of the night. No. 6 nationally ranked Adam Hall (USA Today/InterMat/NWCA) needed overtime to finally take down Cal Poly’s No. 14 ranked Chase Pami. After wrestling to a 4-4 tie through three periods, Hall scored a two-point take down with 00:01 showing on the clock to earn the 6-4 win.
Next, at 174-pounds, Nate Lee managed to grind out another hard fought match by Cal Poly’s Ryan DesRoches. Lee needed a two-point take down in the third period to finally put the match out of reach, 6-5. Lee, who entered this week ranked No. 16 nationally, is 11-3 this season and 9-1 in duals.
In the heavyweight match Sam Zylstra wrestled to a 4-1 decision against Cal Poly’s Kelan Bragg. Then at 125-pounds,
In the final two matches of the evening, Bronco senior Cory Fish earned a 12-2 major decision over David Christian. Jason Chamberlain completed the shutout for the Broncos with a 4-0 decision against Eric Maldonando in the 149-pound match.
