Broncos move to No. 3 in USA Today Coaches? Poll

Following its 33-30 win over then No. 6 Virginia Tech on Monday (Sept. 6) night, Boise State University has moved up two spots to No. 3 in this week's USA Today Coaches' Top 25 poll.
The Broncos were ranked fifth in the coaches' preseason poll, but jumped ahead of Florida and Texas in this week's rankings. Florida fell to from No. 3 to No. 6 following 34-12 win over Miami (Ohio), while Texas stayed at No. 4 following its 34-17 win over Rice.
Defending national champion Alabama stayed at No. 1 with 1,470 points and 55 first place votes following its 48-3 win over WAC member San Jose State. No. 2 Ohio State also remained the same in the poll after beating Marshall 45-7.
Virginia Tech fell to No. 13 following its loss to the Broncos.
TCU also climbed two spots in the poll following its win over then No. 22 Oregon State to fifth. The Beavers, Boise State's opponent on Sept. 25 at Bronco Stadium, fell out of the top 25 rankings.
Boise State has this weekend off before traveling to the University of Wyoming on Sept. 18 (Saturday) for a 6:00 p.m. kickoff.
