ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Boise State co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Zak Hill will be inducted into the Central Washington University Athletics Hall of Fame as part of its 2026 class on Saturday, May 2.

Hill played quarterback for the Wildcats from 1999-2003 and recorded one of the greatest careers in program history. He currently ranks third all-time in passing yards (8,882), passing touchdowns (76), total offense (8,485 yards) and total touchdowns (79).

His 2002 season was one of the best in Central Washington history, leading the Wildcats to an 11-1 record and their first NCAA Division II playoff appearance. That year, Hill passed for 2,694 yards and 22 touchdowns while setting the single-season completion percentage record at 67.9%. He was named a third team All-American by Don Hansen's Football Gazette and All-West Region by Daktronics, D2Football.com and Don Hansen's publication.

Following his playing career, he joined Eastern Washington as a graduate assistant. After a brief high school coaching career, he returned to the Eagles as the passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach, helping guide the squad to five FCS playoff appearances and six Big Sky titles.

He joined Boise State as the co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2016, where the Broncos led the conference in total offense (472.8 yards per game). The next season, Hill was promoted to offensive coordinator and guided the Broncos to wins in the MW Championship and Las Vegas Bowl. The following year, the Broncos repeated as conference champions and finished the season ranked No. 19 in the final College Football Playoff poll of the season.

Hill had stints with Arizona State and the Seattle Seahawks before returning to the Treasure Valley in 2025 as the quarterbacks coach. He was elevated to co-offensive coordinator in January.
The ceremony will take place inside Nicholson Arena in Ellensburg, Wash. Hill will be inducted alongside Jean and Joe Adams, Catie Fry and Dr. Richard Roux.
