Jeff Howard Snags MW Athlete of the Week Honors

BOISE, Idaho - Boise State junior Jeff Howard earned the Mountain West Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week honor for his race contested on Sept. 8, 2012.  It is the first Mountain West career honor for Howard.

Howard, a native of Spokane, Wash., placed second at the Northwest Nazarene Roger Curran Memorial Invitational in Nampa, Idaho.  He covered the 6-kilometer course in a career-best time of 18:39.23.  The top Bronco finisher at the meet, Howard led Boise State to the team title, as seven Bronco runners placed among the top 15 finishers.

Fresno State sophomore Lyndsie Etherton earned the MW Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week nod.
