BOISE, Idaho - Boise State redshirt senior wrestler Jake Swartz has been selected to compete at the National Wrestling Coaches Association All-Star Classic, Nov. 2.
The event, presented by the Marines, will be held at George Mason University.
Ranked sixth-nationally 184 pounds by Amateur Wrestling News, Swartz will be competing against third-ranked Jimmy Sheptock of Maryland.
The two met in the second round of the 2013 NCAA Championships in Des Moines, Iowa, with Sheptock earning a 3-2 victory.
This is the second-straight season a Boise State wrestler has competed at the event, as Jason Chamberlain defeated Oklahoma's Nick Lester (6-3) at 149 pounds last season.
Swartz, a two-time defending Pac-12 champion, is a three-time qualifier to the NCAA Championships. He went 33-5 last season, and enters 2013-14 with a career record of 74-27.
