BOISE, Idaho - Boise State redshirt junior defensive end Demarcus Lawrence was named second-team All-America by the Walter Camp Foundation, the organization announced Thursday.
Lawrence, from Aiken, S.C., is the Broncos' first All-American since offensive lineman Nate Potter earned consensus All-America status in 2011.
Earlier this week Lawrence was named first-team All-Mountain West for a second-straight season.
At the conclusion of the regular season Lawrence ranked tied for 10th-nationally with 10.5 sacks, and his 1.0 per game ranked eighth in the country. His sack total this season is already tied for the fifth-most in a single season all-time at Boise State, and his 20.0-career sacks are tied for the seventh-most in school history.
His 1.8 tackles-for-loss per game is the country's second-best mark this season, and he has 19.5 total in 2013.
Lawrence's 67 tackles (34 solo) were tied for the second-most on the team during the regular season.
