COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Boise State's Miquelle Askew has been named the Mountain West Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Dec. 14-20.

The senior center from South Jordan, Utah, led Boise State to a 84-66 road win at Seattle U on Saturday recording a double-double with 18 points and season-high 12 rebounds.

Askew shot 54.5 percent from the floor making 6-of-11 attempts and went a perfect 6-of-6 from the free-throw line.

Askew was key in Boise State pulling away from the Redhawks in the second half scoring eight of her points and grabbing 10 of her rebounds in the final 20 minutes.

This is Askew's second player of the week accolade of the season and her career.

Boise State will close its nonconference schedule tonight at Eastern Washington. The Broncos will then take a short Christmas break before returning to Boise on Dec. 28th for practice in preparation for the Mountain West opener at Colorado State on Jan. 2.
