COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Boise State sophomore Kyle Mitsunaga was named co-Mountain West Men's Golfer of the Week following his performance at the OGIO UC Santa Barbara Intercollegiate, the conference announced Wednesday.

Mitsunaga, who received the weekly honor for the first time during his career, shared the weekly award with Nevada's Jooho Lee.

A Boise High School graduate, Mitsunaga led the Broncos to their best team finish in more than a year earlier this week. Boise State finished in third place, the best tournament effort since also finishing third at the Thunderbird Invitational, Feb. 10-11, 2014.

Mitsunaga finished tied for fifth place individually following rounds of 76-69-72 (217, +1) at the par-72, 7,159-yard Sandpiper Golf Course in Santa Barbara, Calif.

Mitsunaga is the second Bronco to earn MW Golfer of the Week honors during the 2014-15 season, joining Logan France, who garnered the accolade, March 25.
