SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) Boise State men's basketball steadily kept a double-figure lead and held off a late charge to pick up a 75-65 win at San José State Saturday, to snap a two-game slide. The Broncos (12-6, 5-2 MW) picked up their third road win of Mountain West play.

The Broncos shot 59.3 percent from the field in the first half, building a 43-30 advantage headed into the locker room. Boise State maintained a double-figure lead until the Spartans (9-9, 2-5 MW) used a 7-0 run to cut the margin to six with 1:42 to play. Boise State went 6-of-8 from the free throw line in the final 90 seconds to keep its distance before a David Wacker dunk with 20 seconds to play put the Broncos back up by a dozen.

Wacker scored a career-high 17 points, the second double-figure scoring game of his career. Wacker's previous career high of 12 points came in his collegiate debut (Nov. 14, 2014; vs San Diego). He was 5-of-5 from the field and 7-of-8 from the free throw line.

Alex Hobbs scored seven points, all coming in the first half. It was Hobbs' first points since Nov. 25.

Boise State returns home Wednesday, against Nevada. The Broncos and Wolf Pack are tied atop the MW standings at 5-2 in league play. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. MT, and will be televised on CBS Sports Network.
