10/2/2017 12:00:00 AM | General
Follow @BroncoSports on Twitter, and vote in our Twitter poll for your Boise State Athlete of the Week every Monday morning, and the occasional Tuesday morning, should a holiday fall on a Monday.
This week's (Sept. 25-Oct. 1) nominees are:
Janelle Flores (Sr. | Goalkeeper | Hesperia, Calif.) - Women's Soccer
Flores was the key factor in Boise State's 3-0 win over Mountain West leader New Mexico Friday, making eight saves and earning her 17th-career clean sheet, tying the school record.
All eight of Flores' saves came in the second half, with a few requiring extraordinary efforts to keep the shutout intact. She is now even with Liz Ruiz (2008-11) in the Bronco record book. For the weekend, the Broncos split its matches with New Mexico and San Diego State, and sits tied for sixth on the Mountain West table with six points.

Wiktoria Nosek (So. | Kielce, Poland) - Women's Tennis
Nosek reached the final of the Gonzaga Bulldog Invitational in Spokane over the weekend, eventually dropping a tough three-set match, 6-2, 5-7, 6-1, to Gonzaga's Ashleigh Jacobs.
Nosek made her way to the finals of the blue flight with singles wins over Gonzaga's Domonique Garley (6-1, 6-7(1), 6-2) and Portland State's Allisandra Valk (6-4, 3-6, 6-1).

Allie Ostrander (R-So. | Kenai, Alaska) - Women's Soccer
Ostrander won her fifth career race, running 16:28.15 on the 5-kilometer course at the Greater Louisville Classic. Ostrander' first-place finish, in her first cross-country race in nearly two years, led the No. 13-ranked women's team to the team title with 74 points.
Most impressively, Ostrander ran the majority of the race with just one show, as early on in the race her foot was stepped on, dislodging the shoe.

Janell Walley (So. | Outside Hitter | Yucaipa, Calif.) - Women's Volleyball
Walley enjoyed a dominant weekend at the net over Boise State's weekend road sweep of New Mexico and UNLV. The sophomore averaged 13.5 kills per match and hit .396 as the Broncos beat the Lobos, 3-1, Thursday night, and swept UNLV Saturday.
Walley was also one of the Broncos' top defenders for the weekend, averaging 10.0 digs and 5.0 blocks over the two matches, including an eight-block effort in Thursday's win at New Mexico. Her performance helped the Broncos remain unbeaten in Mountain West play at 4-0.
