MW Announces 2016-17 Scholar-Athletes

July 18, 2017 COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. â€" The Mountain West announced its 2016-17 Scholar-Athlete Award recipients Tuesday, one of the highest academic honors bestowed by the conference. Included were a school-record 89 student-athletes from Boise State.

To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least two academic terms at the member institution, while maintaining a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or better and participating in a MW-sponsored sport.

The women's track & field team led the way for the Broncos with 19 honorees, while the swimming & diving program boasted 18.
