2017-18: INDOOR – Did not compete…OUTDOOR - Threw the javelin in the three meets over the course of the 2018 season. . . Kicked off the season by throwing for 139-10 (42.62m) to take eighth at the NNU Open (March 24). . . Was 11th at the Sun Angel Classic (April 5) in recording a mark of 136-11 (41.74m). . . Took 11th at the Border Clash to close out the season with a season-best throw of 144-7 (44.07m).

2016-17: INDOOR – Did not compete…OUTDOOR – Switched to the javelin in his first outdoor season as a Bronco, competing in three meets…ended up taking 11th at the Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a throw of 172-1 (52.45m)…threw for a career-best 174-9 (53.26m) at the Border Clash to take fourth…opened the season at the Bryan Clay Invite (149-11 / 45.70m).

Jared Budzinski joins the Broncos after a solid middle distance prep career at Emerald Ridge High School in Puyallup, Wash. As a junior he took fifth at the 4A WCD District Championships after clocking a career-best 1:55.54 in the 800m. His senior year he participated in mainly the 400m where he recorded his PR of 51.54 at the PSD Tri-Meet on May 5 to secure the victory.
