July 5, 2017 BOISE, Idaho â€" Boise State Athletics has hired Kassondra Landry as Spirit Squad Head Coach, Director of Athletics Curt Apsey announced Wednesday.

A previous captain of Boise State's Spirit Squad in 2011-12, Landry served as a volunteer assistant for her alma mater this past year under Tobruk Blaine, who recently accepted another position. As volunteer assistant, Landry assisted with all aspects of both the cheer and dance programs while helping to conduct the program's youth clinics throughout the Treasure Valley.

Since graduating from Boise State, Landry has worked as a cheer instructor for the United Spirit Association, and was the head cheerleading coach at multiple high schools. She has also served as a routine judge for Varsity Brands.

In each of the last two years the Bronco cheerleaders captured the team title in the small coed division at the USA Collegiate Championships, and the Mane Line Dancers finished runner-up both seasons. The spirit squad also combined for a 3.2 grade-point average over the course of the last four years.
