14th place finish for Broncos at Maridoe Intercollegiate

CARROLTON, Texas- It was a stormy Monday finish in Texas. The Maridoe Intercollegiate concluded with Boise State unable to improve their position from the second round. The Broncos finished in 14th place (311-316-303=930). Head coach Dan Potter is keeping the team focused and looking ahead, "We head down to LA on Saturday to compete Monday and Tuesday. We'll put this one behind us, learn from it, and move on."
Junior Mason Schulze and Sophomore Skyler Eubank both recovered well in the final round to shoot matching 74's, for Mason it vaulted him into the top-50 to tie for 47th (76-80-74=230) he was the high finisher for Boise State. Skyler rose eight spots to finish the tournament tied for 64th (81-82-74=237).
Junior Brian Humphreys shot a 76 on the final day to finish tied for 56th (77-79-76=232). Freshman Hugo Townsend finished with a nine-over 79 on his way to a solo finish in 63rd (80-77-79=236). Junior Joe Neuheisel closed with an 82 for a 70th place finish (78-80-82=240).
Following a two-week break, the Broncos head to Fullerton, Calif. for the Bill Cullum Invitational hosted by California State University, Northridge Oct. 15-16.
